Have you been struggling in the bedroom … you know … “down there”?
Well, don’t think you’re alone. Though it can be caused by a number of reasons, including medical or psychological issues, it can naturally begin occurring between the ages of 40-70.
In fact, there are over 18 million other men in the U.S. suffering from E.D. too, so why are people so embarrassed to the point where they have to buy quick over-the-counter medication from their local drug store or gas station?
It really isn’t worth the risk, and here’s why.
Did you ever wonder why there was a reason you may need an actual prescription for more well-known, trusted E.D. medication? Well, if you haven’t, you should. Because these common over-the-counter male enhancement pills come with rather, uncomfortable, side effects and are even warned by the FDA not to use without consulting your doctor first.
The FDA is a federal agency in charge of ensuring the safety of the public. When you take your dog to the vet, their medications are FDA-approved. That cereal box in your cupboard? It’s FDA-approved. The Tylenol you purchase over-the-counter? FDA-approved.
That bottle you took a glance at during your trip to the drug store to inconspicuously purchase pills to help with your erectile dysfunction, like perhaps, ExtenZe, the Black Lion Pill, Rhino 69, PowerZen, Golden Ant, or Rock Hard Weekend? The FDA has specifically warned the public not to use these.
If that isn’t a big enough warning to scare you away from these products, we’ll go into detail on why they aren’t FDA-approved.
Ingredients that are listed in this product are unauthorized, meaning, they aren’t safe. ExtenZe products have repeatedly been taken off the market and from locations still trying to sell them for both men and women. Their packaging or bottles are mainly known for being red, and one of the ingredients clearly listed is DHEA, which is actually a controlled drug only available through prescription.
DHEA is a hormone naturally created by the body. This includes testosterone and estrogen (our sex hormones). Again, as you age, it naturally decreases, but it can also decrease from other reasons like depression, diabetes, obesity, from taking other medications for medical conditions, and more.
Adding too much DHEA to your body can negatively affect your unborn baby, lower the effectiveness of insulin if you’re diabetic, and worsen conditions like breast cancer or uterine cancer. If you have depression and anxiety, high levels of DHEA could make your symptoms like mania or mood swings worse.
Another unsafe ingredient in ExtenZe products is Yohimbe. Yohimbe is an extract taken from the Yohimbe tree in western Africa. It’s illegal to sell over-the-counter products that contain this ingredient because of its harmful side effects that include:
You may also find this ingredient listed on another over-the-counter E.D. drug labeled Libido Max. They claim their ingredients are “natural”, and technically yes, Yohimbe is natural. But it’s extremely dangerous and is actually banned in Canada, Australia, and the U.K., and for good reason.
The packages are easily distinctive - black packaging with a lion’s face and, a rather uneasy, red-colored pill attached. Its ingredients, yet again, are illegal to sell over-the-counter and should only be prescribed by a professional. This includes sildenafil and tadalafil (which we safely prescribe these and ensure your utmost safety after reviewing your answers on the medical intake form) sibutramine, dexamethasone, phenolphthalein, and lidocaine.
These are long, unknown ingredients, but chances are you’ve heard of lidocaine seeing as they use it at your family’s dental office … as local anesthesia. Numbing medication is not safe when ingested and can lead to the following serious symptoms:
Phenolphthalein was a previous laxative ingredient but is no longer used and has been banned in Canada and the U.S. seeing as it may cause cancer. It can also cause skin rashes, eye irritation, decreased blood pressure, and gastrointestinal bleeding.
The title of this pill is a mouthful … no pun intended … and it also sounds pretty extreme. But not because it works for curing erectile dysfunction issues. Once again, Yohimbe is listed as an ingredient on this pill and it is illegal in Canada, Australia, and the U.K. This ingredient can be very dangerous, especially for people who already have health issues like high or low blood pressure, kidney or liver problems, and even mental issues like depression, mania, and anxiety.
The FDA has actually listed more than 25 different Rhino products as unsafe as they contain unregulated and unsafe use of tadalafil and sildenafil. Not taking pills with these ingredients safely can lead to prolonged erections, migraines, rapid heart rate, a dangerously low blood pressure, and more.
PowerZen products are typically marketed as “all-natural”, so it must mean it’s safe right? Not quite.
Just like Rhino pills, there are multiple PowerZen products that have been labeled as unsafe from the FDA because of the ingredient dapoxetine. Dapoxetine has been known to treat men who have premature ejaculation issues, but it’s not an FDA-approved ingredient for a reason. It reacts very poorly with our serotonin levels. Serotonin affects our mind and body and, for example, people with depression or schizophrenia will have an imbalanced (or low) level of serotonin.
The other main ingredients include tadalafil and sildenafil, which if taken without consulting a professional first, can interact with other prescription drugs for health issues like low blood pressure, diabetes, or heart disease.
Yohimbe extract and zinc oxide are also listed as “natural ingredients” on the packages/bottles. We don’t need to remind you what Yohimbe can do to your body, but let’s discuss the side effects of zinc oxide, seeing as the first thing that pops up when you search “Is Zinc Oxide safe?” the first thing that pops up is “Do not take zinc oxide by orally”.
Zinc oxide is another ingredient that must be approved by the FDA first, particularly in sunscreens. It’s also used for skin-related issues like wounds, irritation, and diaper rashes. It’s unlikely small amounts will do anything, but if ingested too much, it can cause other medications to stop working or cause symptoms like diarrhea, stomach pain and vomiting, fever, rapid breathing, and more.
Not only are these pills incredibly overpriced online because they’re marketed as “natural”, but they’re incredibly unsafe. The FDA has listed them as posing a serious risk to your health.
If that wasn’t reason enough to not purchase them, you should look more into one of its main ingredients: chloramphenicol. It’s illegal to contain disclosed uses of chloramphenicol in medication and to use on food-producing animals (cows, goats, even honey bees, etc.) in Canada because of its reputation for:
Yes, of course, it sounds nice! A weekend full of sensual fun with your wife or girlfriend! Only … the ingredient sulfoaildenafil can be found in this product, which can act against the other prescription drugs and cause dangerously low blood pressure, which in turn, can block oxygen from reaching your brain. Even more shocking, they list their products as “natural”. Maybe that Rock Hard weekend doesn’t sound so nice after all.
We never prescribe our customers with dangerous ingredients that could interact with their other medications, or cause harmful side effects in general. We will ask you questions and get you to fill out a medical form about your medical history and sexual health and determine what the best E.D. medication would be.
We supply FDA-approved tadalafil and sildenafil in Cialis and Viagra pills. Directions will be easily readable on the bottle/prescription and once taken, and following stimulation, of course, an increase in blood flow to your penis should result in being able to maintain an erection.
These are just a few examples of what’s out there that are not only sketchy, unprofessional and potentially hazardous to your health, but they don’t even help with E.D. Instead, they cause more health issues and leave you feeling even more disappointed than you did before.
These are some other male enhancement pills you should completely avoid buying at your local drug store, gas station, or even online:
If you’re struggling with maintaining an erection, know you’re not alone. There are many other men out there with the same issue that seek a solution just like you. But there are safer, more efficient ways of obtaining male enhancement pills that are FDA-approved and will not cause severe side effects or leave you feeling nauseous.
Get your sex life back on track. At Male Excel, we ensure your safety using Cialis or Viagra by asking questions about your medical history. This shouldn’t be taken lightly. Your safety is our number one concern (in more ways than one!). We don’t just guarantee customer service satisfaction if you know what we mean.
Reminder: You shouldn’t just get an erection by using pills. If this occurs, or if it lasts more than four hours, you should seek medical attention.
