When it comes to male sexual performance, there are plenty of so-called organic sex enhancement supplements, including Semenax; in fact, it is one of the most popular ones. However, despite all the promises of electric orgasms and explosive sex, science has shown that Semenax isn't quite what it claims to be. So what is Semenax, and how does it work? Does it have any side effects?

What is Semenax?

Semenax is an herbal supplement that rides on the waves of several huge promises, such as increased orgasmic pleasure and increased semen volume. According to its ads, this so-called transformative supplement can increase semen volume by approximately 20%. So, of course, this has attracted lots of sales and customers. Another quality most customers love about this product is that it is made from natural herbs and 100% organic ingredients.

Semenax is not a supplement sold over the counter in regular pharmacies or other drug stores. It is sold online by its manufacturer, Leading Edge Health

What Are The Active Ingredients of Semenax?

A product is only as good as its active ingredients, and an organic supplement like Semenax is made from 100% natural ingredients. It contains amino acids, L-arginine and L-lysine, plant extracts, vitamins, trace elements, and natural herbs with high mineral content. These ingredients act on the male reproductive system to stimulate increased semen production and improve the quality of sexual intercourse.

L-arginine:

Arginine is an amino acid that serves different functions in the body. Studies have shown that it helps in maintaining an erection and improving erectile dysfunction. In animal studies, it impacts semen volume, but there is no conclusive evidence it has this effect in humans.

A daily oral dosage of 2.5-5 grams of L-arginine appears to enhance sexual function in individuals with mild to moderate ED. Combining L-arginine with medications such as sildenafil and tadalafil might offer improved results compared to using either L-arginine or the medication in isolation.

Based on these studies, L-arginine is one of the more active ingredients of Semenax. Another alternative of this amino acid, L-arginine HCl, also serves the same function as the other arginine variant. They differ only in physical structure and acidity levels.

Arginine plays a vital role in producing a chemical called nitric oxide (NO). NO is a chemical that improves blood flow to the penis. The higher the penile blood flow, the higher the quality of an erection and the stronger the erectile function.

Horny Goat Weed

This appropriately named herb, also known as epimedium leaf, grows mainly in China. It is a common native Chinese medicine for sex-related problems like erectile dysfunction and low sex drive. Therefore, it is a popular ingredient of common sex enhancement supplements, including Semenax. However, its effectiveness as a sex enhancer is questionable.

Muira puama

This is a tree extract local to the Amazon forest. Although there are no scientific facts regarding it increasing sex drive or semen volume, locals say it plays a role in sex enhancement and treatment of infertility.

Maca Root

Maca is another key ingredient in Semenax. This extract comes from a plant called Epidium meyenii, commonly known as Peruvian ginseng. It is a biennial herbaceous plant belonging to the Brassicaceae family. This edible plant is native to the high Andes mountains of Peru and Bolivia in South America. Unlike some of the ingredients we've seen so far, studies show maca root can improve semen production and semen quality.

Zinc

This naturally occurring metal belongs to a group of essential nutrients known as trace elements. Zinc has multiple functions in the body. In the male reproductive system, it can help improve prostate health and boost testosterone levels. Testosterone is basically the male sex hormone. So, if testosterone levels go up, it can improve erectile function, sexual performance, and libido.

These are just some of the ingredients found in Semenax. Based on this list, it's clear this male enhancement supplement is made with primarily herbal ingredients. The effectiveness of these ingredients may vary when it comes to enhancing a man's sexual experience.

Other Semenax ingredients include:

  • Vitamin E
  • Swedish flower pollen
  • L-lysine
  • L-carnitine
  • Cranberry extract
  • Sarsaparilla
  • Pumpkin seed
  • Catuaba bark
  • Hawthorne
  • Pine bark extract

There is insufficient scientific evidence to confirm the effectiveness of most of these ingredients. Even if some do benefit sexual health, questions persist regarding whether they have any meaningful effects.

What is The Actual Function of Semenax?

We've been over the advertised claims of Semenax, such as increased semen production, treatment for erectile dysfunction, and explosive orgasms. However, it is clear that the ingredients don't exactly back up these claims.

Surprisingly, Semenax has been shown to have benefits unrelated to sexual performance. For example, Sarsaparilla, one of the active ingredients of Semenax, acts as a diuretic, promoting the passage of urine. These drug groups benefit people suffering from high blood pressure and heart-related conditions.

Similarly, Hawthorne, another ingredient of this so-called miracle pill, is an antioxidant. In addition to eliminating toxic chemicals from the body, Hawthorne also increases blood circulation.

Of course, these are just side attractions. Semenax is no replacement for supplements specifically made for other conditions, such as heart or kidney-related diseases. Although the function of Semenax is debatable, there are some studies of this supplement regarding semen production intensity of orgasms.

Semenax Reviews: Is It Really the Miracle Sex Pill?

It is not likely that Semenax is as effective as Leading Edge Health claims in its ads and on its official website. There are plenty of positive Semenax reviews online, but a drug's effectiveness cannot be proved by just word of mouth. A clinical trial must be conducted, and no independent study or research has proven its effectiveness.

Leading Edge Health sponsored the only study available on the effectiveness of Semenax. This study can be found on their which is accessible on their website. The study features 78 men between 30 and 60, all diagnosed with erectile dysfunction, low semen and low sperm count. By the end of the study, the Semenax group recorded a nearly 20% increase in semen volume. They also experienced improved orgasm compared to those in the placebo group.

Based on this study, there were no recorded side effects. On paper, the results of this study do seem positive. However, its credibility is questionable because the study was carried out by an agency that was related to the brand. So far, no other study confirms the results. The general consensus among experts is that Semenax reviews can't guarantee the product works as well as the company claims.

What Constitutes Semen Volume?

Only about 10% of semen contains sperm. 90% of semen volume comes from other organs such as the prostate gland, urethra, seminal vesicles, and bulbourethral glands. Together, they are called the accessory organs. The secretion from these organs increases the potency of sperm cells, but they do not, on their own, contribute to male fertility.

None of the ingredients of Semenax influence secretion from accessory organs. As a result, understanding how Semenax could increase semen volume remains a mystery. To explain how Semenax works, experts believe the increase in semen volume during the study could be a Placebo effect

Put simply, the drug itself did not increase secretion from the accessory organs. The expectation that the medication might produce an effect could have provided the additional stimulation that these organs required.

What Are The Pros and Cons of Semenax?

Let's start with the pros.

Semenax is made with all-natural ingredients, may provide some health benefits, and causes no side effects. However, just because it is natural doesn't mean it is safe for consumption, especially if you have an underlying disease. People with chronic conditions such as cardiovascular diseases and diabetes should check with their doctor before taking natural supplements such as Semenax.

Another pro is the fact that you do not need a doctor's prescription to use. Leading Edge Health recommends a daily intake of four tablets, two in the morning and two at night. Additionally, the company offers free shipping and a 67-day money-back guarantee. This is basically a refund guarantee if you do not see satisfactory results after the first two months of using Semenax.

Now, the cons.

The first one is the unavailability. Semenax is only available online and not in pharmaceutical stores. Another disadvantage of the drug is its cost. A one-month supply of Semenax has a retail value of about $60, although the company offers discounts for bulk purchases.

Regardless, $60 per month is a lot, especially since there isn't any substantial evidence regarding the drug's effectiveness.

Are There Healthier Alternatives To Semenax?

The answer to this is yes! There are other methods of dealing with sexual performance problems, which are scientifically proven.

Male Enhancement Pills:

Male enhancement pills are dietary supplements, usually with a blend of ingredients. These may include vitamins and minerals aimed at enhancing sexual performance and relieving erectile dysfunction, low libido, or premature ejaculation. These pills may work by improving blood flow to the genital area, increasing testosterone levels, and promoting overall sexual health. However, their effectiveness is unreliable.

Viagra and Cilais alternatives:

Testosterone Replacement Therapy (TRT)

TRT is a medical treatment primarily for treating low testosterone levels in men. While TRT can help improve various aspects of male health, including libido and energy levels, its impact on erectile dysfunction (ED) varies from person to person. For some individuals with ED linked to low testosterone levels, TRT may lead to an improvement in their sexual function.

These prescription drugs treat problems such as erectile dysfunction and low libido. Drugs such as clomiphene and hCG increase libido and tackle the problem of erectile dysfunction by increasing testosterone levels. With the doctor's prescription, testosterone shots or creams are available, offering increased libido, weight loss and other health benefits.

Artificial testosterone replacement therapy reduces your body's ability to produce the hormone, and as a result, sperm production stops. So, even though semen volume might increase, low sperm count is common with TRT. Other types of male enhancement drugs include oral medications such as Viagra®and Cialis®. These drugs are specifically for erectile dysfunction and act by increasing blood flow, making it easier to get an erection.

Take Dietary Supplements:

Earlier, we mentioned that Semenax contained nutrients such as zinc and vitamin E, which play a part in semen production. Zinc boosts testosterone levels, while vitamin E is an antioxidant that prevents toxic chemicals from damaging sperm cells.

Fortunately, these nutrients are found in avocado, broccoli, kiwi, egg, meat, whole grains, cashews, and oysters. If you cannot get fresh foods, vitamin E supplements are a great alternative. You can also take supplemental amino acids, like L-arginine and L-lysine, that may increase semen production and sperm volume.

Exercise Your Pelvic Floor Muscles:

It is a common misconception that kegel exercises are for just women, but that's not true. Kegel exercises can help men who have premature ejaculation gain some level of control. Increasing ejaculation time improves the intensity of your ejaculation and ensures an electric sexual performance.

Think About Sex:

The thought of sex and the act of foreplay are the most natural ways to increase your sex drive. This would lead to stimulation of the testes and accessory organs, and this stimulation can lead to increased semen volume. It would also increase blood flow to the penis and improve erectile dysfunction over time.

Focus On General Wellness:

The foods you eat and the state of your body can influence your sexual health. For example, obesity is a significant cause of low testosterone levels and is associated with poor erectile function. Automatically, weight loss can improve testosterone levels and erectile functions.

Smoking is also bad for your reproductive health. Cigarettes contain toxic chemicals that can decrease sperm motility sperm quality and ultimately result in a decline in semen quality.

Are You Interested in Overcoming Erectile Dysfunction The Healthy Way?

Erectile dysfunction is a condition that makes many men desperate to consider every possible solution. However, in reality, a random mixture of herbs like Semenax is setting you up for more disappointment. Why not resort to healthier alternatives rather than get carried away by exaggerated ads and unrealistic promises?

ED can be a warning sign of mental health issues, particularly heart problems. Since both heart conditions and ED often involve issues with blood flow. Erectile dysfunction may signal underlying cardiovascular issues like atherosclerosis and increase the risk of heart attacks. Men experiencing ED should seek medical evaluation as addressing heart health is vital for overall well-being.

There are several practical and scientifically proven ways to improve your sex life, all of which have very minimal side effects. If the conditions of your sexual health do not improve after one or two months of healthy practice, remember that there is no shame in consulting a doctor. There could be an underlying problem, such as anxiety.

However, if you insist on using a 100% natural male sexual enhancement supplement, don't forget to check with your doctor or healthcare provider, especially if you have underlying health problems or are using other drugs. But for any type of sexual dysfunction, relying on herbal supplements like Semenax is not the answer for most men. Drugs approved by the Food and Drug Administration are proven to work, and there are plenty of prescription medications like TRT and Clomid that can help.
