Clomid for Men an Alternative to TRT

Clomiphene citrate, sold under the brand name Clomid®, is an FDA-approved medication used to treat specific fertility problems in women. However, Male Excel medical providers can prescribe clomiphene and its propriety medication, Triclozene, for men off-label to treat or maintain fertility and increase testosterone levels in men.

Clomid tricks the body into thinking it has lower levels of sex hormones (such as estrogen or testosterone) than there are. This deception then triggers the pituitary gland in the brain to release more follicle-stimulating hormone (FSH) and luteinizing hormone (LH). As a result of the increased levels of FSH and LH, the testes produce higher amounts of testosterone. Clomid can benefit men with low testosterone or infertility, as it promotes the natural production of testosterone and sperm in the testes.

Triclozene - Clomiphene, Thyroid and Selenomethionine

Male Excel has developed a testosterone support medication called Triclozene which contains the testosterone-boosting medication clomiphene citrate. Exclusively available to our members, Triclozene offers a completely unique formulation made in the USA. Triclozene includes the ingredients clomiphene citrate (clomid®), thyroid, and Selenomethionine (SeMet). This unique combination of medications increases testosterone production, supports hormone health and offers relief from low T symptoms.

What Age Can You Take Have TRT?

TRT is suitable for adults who can not produce enough of the hormone testosterone naturally and experience symptoms of low T. However, testosterone replacement therapy isn't usually suitable for guys under 38 because it can damage fertility. Nonetheless, Clomid is a great alternative that proves effective in increasing testosterone without harming fertility.

  • Clomid is often used 'off label' 1 to treat infertility in men.
  • In men, Clomid stimulates testosterone production by blocking estrogen receptors in the brain. It tricks the brain into thinking it needs more hormones, which leads to more testosterone and sperm production.
  • Clomid for men is used 'off label' as a testosterone booster. 2
  • Clomid blocks estrogen receptors in the brain, increasing the secretion of gonadotropin-releasing hormones (GnRH), follicle-stimulating hormone (FSH) and luteinizing hormone (LH).
  • FSH and LH are released into blood circulation, acting on the testes and ovaries to kick start and support their reproductive functions.

Why Use Clomid for Men?

Clomiphene and its derivative enclomiphene effectively increase testosterone levels in men wanting to maintain sperm count and motility. At Male Excel, we only prescribe hormone replacement therapy to men over 38 to protect the fertility of younger men. But, Clomid is effective for men under the age of 38 suffering from reduced testosterone levels and the associated symptoms.

Why Might Men Under 38 Need to Take Clomid?

  • Lack of Energy
  • Depression
  • Loss of vitality
  • Weight gain
  • Muscle loss (Atrophy)
  • Weight Gain
  • To increase Testosterone level
  • To increase sperm count

Bioidentical testosterone replacement therapy slows and even stops natural testosterone. For this reason, Clomid for men is an excellent option for guys wishing to continue natural production and maintain fertility.

Compared with bioidentical testosterone replacement therapy, Clomid is an excellent alternative because:

  • Stimulates natural testosterone production
  • It has few side effects and has a long track record.
  • It comes in tablet form.
  • It is cheap and affordable.

25-50mg of Clomid per day usually increases sperm count and testosterone levels (free and total) within a couple of months. Clomid helps the body produce more testosterone by increasing LH levels. FSH supports sperm during their 74-day maturation process. Since testosterone is the primary hormone required to make sperm, a higher concentration in the body means more sperm.

Studies 2 show that low dose Clomid administration increases testosterone levels, quoting.

"Low dose clomiphene citrate effectively elevates serum testosterone levels and improves the testosterone/estradiol ratio in men with hypogonadism. This therapy is an alternative to testosterone therapy by stimulating the endogenous androgen production pathway."

Does Clomid Work for Raising Testosterone Levels in Men?

Studies show that clomiphene can increase testosterone levels in men with hypogonadism, a condition when the body does not produce enough testosterone. A study published in the Journal of Clinical Endocrinology and Metabolism in 2010 found that clomiphene increased testosterone levels in men with hypogonadism by 85%. Another study published in the Journal of Sexual Medicine in 2005 found that clomiphene treatment increased testosterone levels in men with low testosterone by 150%.

Triclozene Testosterone Formula From Male Excel

Our proprietary formula, called Triclozene, features a hat-trick of medications, clomiphene citrate and two thyroid-boosting ingredients to help stimulate your body's natural testosterone production. The powerful combination of clomiphene, thyroid and selenomethionine is designed to optimize testosterone and fine-tune your hormones.

Triclozene contains clomiphene citrate and two extra ingredients:

  • Clomiphene citrate: The same medication as found in the brand medication Clomid. It increases testosterone production in the testes, helping to reverse the symptoms of low testosterone.
  • Thyroid: Thyroid hormones stimulate proteins that bind to and transport testosterone, estrogen, and dihydrotestosterone (DHT) around your body. This directly affects the amount of testosterone that your body can use.
  • Selenomethionine (SeMet): This is a form of selenium that occurs naturally in a variety of foods, including nuts, whole grains, meat, eggs, and dairy. It is crucial for the effective production of thyroid hormones and has other benefits, including DNA production, protection from infection and maintaining a healthy heart.

Does Clomid Work as Well as TRT?

Clomid for men works differently than traditional TRT (testosterone replacement therapy). Furthermore, you can expect a 100-200% increase in testosterone levels using Clomid. Firstly, this increase relieves low testosterone symptoms and, secondly, maintains or even improves fertility.

The benefits of Clomid are similar to TRT.

What are The Benefits of Clomid over Injections and Creams?

Clomid and Triclozene from Male Excel work by promoting natural testosterone production in the testicles. Importantly, neither medications shrink your testicles like traditional TRT, preserving fertility. 4

Results vary depending on your base hormone levels, with few side effects. With both medications, there is no need to inject, and you don't have the same transference risks you have with testosterone cream.

What Are the Downsides to Clomid?

Firstly, with Clomid, it can take a little longer to see results than with testosterone injections or creams. Secondly, Clomid can reduce libido in some patients, which is unusual. And finally, there have been a few reports of blurred vision in those taking Clomid - again, this is pretty rare.

What are the Side Effects of Clomid for Men?

Above all, any side effects of Clomid are rare and usually mild. Research shows Clomid is well tolerated by most men helping them reach 'normal' testosterone levels and improve low T symptoms. Studies 5 also show "no significant adverse event in any patient treated with clomiphene citrate."

The most common side effects in men taking Clomid may include: 5

  • Changes in Mood
  • Sore Breasts
  • Blurry vision
  • Weight gain
  • Acne

Rare side effects include:

  • High blood pressure (hypertension)
  • Altered taste
  • Asthma
  • Flushing
  • Nausea
  • Extreme thirst
  • Aching joints

Like all medications, Clomiphene Citrate may carry a risk of side effects. However, studies indicate that most men tolerate Clomid very well and see improvements in symptoms within three months of starting treatment. It is generally considered safe and has been shown to effectively raise testosterone levels and alleviate low T symptoms. Research shows that Clomid is well tolerated by most men, with no significant adverse events reported in patients treated with clomiphene citrate.

Any potential side effects are rare and typically mild. In some cases, patients may experience high blood pressure, altered taste, asthma, flushing, nausea, extreme thirst, or aching joints. However, these occurrences are infrequent and not commonly reported. It is important to note that individual responses to medications may vary, and it is recommended to consult with a healthcare professional before starting any treatment.

They can provide personalized advice based on your specific medical history and circumstances. Overall, Clomid is considered a safe option for men experiencing low testosterone, with the majority of patients tolerating it well and experiencing positive outcomes.

Is Clomid Right for a Good Choice for Low T?

Most men tolerate Clomid (the main active ingredient in Triclozene) very well. Studies 6 show most patients who take it see improvement in symptoms within 3 months of starting treatment.

If you are experiencing low testosterone side effects, we advise taking our 'at-home blood spot test.' This easy-to-use test kit eliminates the need to visit a clinic and draw blood. Once complete, the test highlights key hormone levels and establishes if the Clomid-based medication Triclozen will increase your testosterone to reduce the associated symptoms.

In summary, while testosterone replacement therapy remains a common approach, Clomid stands out as an alternative option for men desiring to start a family. By leveraging its ability to stimulate the production of FSH and LH, Clomid effectively supports the natural production of testosterone and sperm, making it a potential solution for men seeking to balance fertility and testosterone levels
