HORMONES AND SLEEP IN MEN
THE FACTS ABOUT HORMONES AND SLEEP
- We need, on average, between 6-10 hours of sleep each night. Older adults (over 65) need less, between 7-8 hours per night. Anything less, and you start to develop what is known as sleep debt.

Poor sleep can cause memory problems, issues with testosterone and thyroid, depression and irritability, lack of motivation, slower reaction times, weaker immune system, high blood pressure, increased risk of diabetes and heart attack, low libido, and skin problems.

-
As men get older and their testosterone levels start to decline, many experience a variety of symptoms, including trouble sleeping and trouble staying asleep.

Both testosterone and thyroid hormones are essential when it comes to relaxing the body and getting ready for sleep.
